Intentional, private & Bespoke 1:1 Trauma Healing Retreats in SE Asia | Brainspotting + IFS Intensives for High Achievers

When you're used to carrying a lot — in your career, your life, your family, your mind — it can feel impossible to find the right space to truly put it all down.

private therapy retreat SE Asia

SE Asia is a healing destination for many. Depending on your preferences, we will spend our retreat in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia or Bali.

Traditional therapy settings, while supportive, often don’t match the scale of what’s sitting inside you.

The backlog of stress, trauma, unprocessed experiences, identity shifts, and high-stakes pressure doesn't unwind neatly over a lunch break or even a few weekly sessions.

You deserve more than squeezing healing into a schedule already stretched thin.

You deserve a top-level, hugely compassionate and spacious container that meets the depth, intensity, and brilliance (even if you don’t believe that word yet) of who you are.

That’s where my 1:1 Bespoke Brainspotting + IFS Retreats come in.

Designed exclusively for high performers, sensitive leaders, and those navigating neurodivergence like ADHD, these intensive retreats create intentional, luxurious heart and mind space for real, accelerated transformation — emotionally, neurologically, and somatically.

What These 1:1 Retreats Look Like

These private retreats are fully customised to you.

We meet in a stunning SE Asia location, chosen together for what you most need — perhaps a peaceful riverside retreat, a luxury eco-resort, or a boutique oceanfront hideaway.

You’ll work privately 1:1 with me using Brainspotting, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and cutting-edge, evidence-based trauma therapies to safely process trauma, unlock stuckness, and rewire the patterns that have been holding you back.

Expect:

  • Spacious, focused sessions (no rush, no hourly clock-watching)

  • Deep pre-work (in a format that works for you and your busy schedule) to help you arrive feeling clear and ready

  • A highly intentional healing container designed around your unique system

  • Integration time carefully woven in, so your transformation sticks

  • Optional holistic add-ons (bodywork, spa, nature immersion) to support full nervous system regulation

This is a true 1:1, private experience — no groups, no distractions, no watered-down programmes.

What Does a Private Therapy Retreat Day Actually Look Like?

One of the most common questions I hear before a retreat is: "But what will we actually do all day?" It's an understandable question, and a sign that your practical, high-achieving mind is already engaged.

Every retreat is bespoke, so no two look identical. That said, here is a sense of the rhythm a typical day might hold (and know that I will always trust and follow your unique system and needs):

Morning: We begin gently — often with a grounding practice to settle your nervous system before we move into deeper work. This might be a brief mindfulness or somatic exercise, a short walk, or simply time over tea to check in about what's present for you that day.

Core session blocks: The heart of each day is typically two to three focused, unhurried therapy blocks — longer and more immersive than anything possible in a standard weekly session. We use Brainspotting, IFS, or a blend of both, depending on what your system is calling for in that moment.

Integration pauses: Deep work needs breathing room. We build in intentional rest between sessions — time for you to decide what you need, to journal, take a swim, nap, or simply be. This is not wasted time. It is where a great deal of the neurological rewiring, and to be honest, the real magic, happens.

Evening: We close the day together with a short integration conversation — anchoring the day's insights and preparing your system for restorative sleep. After that, the evening is fully yours.

Retreat length is flexible and planned around your goals. Most clients choose between three and five days. Some, particularly those carrying longer-term or complex trauma, find that a full week gives them the spaciousness they have been craving for years.

Why SE Asia for a Private Therapy Retreat?

There is something quietly radical about choosing to do this work somewhere entirely removed from your ordinary life. SE Asia has become a destination for deep healing retreats precisely because it offers what most of our day-to-day environments simply cannot: genuine spaciousness, natural beauty, warmth, and a culture that tends to hold slowing down as a virtue rather than a weakness.

Practically speaking, SE Asia also offers extraordinary value for money at the premium level. The kind of luxury retreat environment that would cost significantly more in the UK, Switzerland, or the US (such as private villas, boutique eco-resorts, oceanside suites) is accessible here without any compromise on quality or privacy.

Depending on what you most need, we might base ourselves in:

  • Thailand — here I have a deep knowledge of excellent retreat settings in Bangkok, Phuket Chiang Mai, Koh Samui, and beyond

  • Bali, Indonesia — for those drawn to a lush, spiritually-oriented environment with world-class wellness infrastructure

  • Vietnam — particularly the quieter areas around Hoi An or the coast, for clients who want somewhere less frequented

  • Malaysia — including Penang and the Cameron Highlands, for those who want accessibility alongside jungle serenity

Location choice is always made together, based on your preferences, logistics, and what will best serve your healing.

A caveat is, if you want your retreat to be scheduled sooner rather than later, Bangkok is the best option. If one of the other locations is key to your experience, I totally understand, and encourage you to trust your needs. I will get you booked into my diary as swiftly as I can, but this may be a few months out from your initial enquiry.

Is a Private 1:1 Therapy Retreat Right for You?

These retreats are not for everyone, and that is by design. They are created for people who are ready to go deep, have the capacity to do immersive work, and are committed to investing properly in their own transformation. My intensive clients self-select and come super ready to do the work.

You might be a good fit if:

  • You are a high achiever, executive, entrepreneur, digital nomad, expat, or medical professional who has been carrying a heavy load for a long time and feels ready to genuinely put it down

  • You have done some therapy before and feel there is more to access. Or perhaps you tried weekly therapy and found the pace frustratingly slow

  • You are navigating burnout, complex stress, unprocessed trauma, an identity shift, grief, or a significant life transition

  • You are neurodivergent (I am an ADHD clinician and work with a lot of ADHD or AuDHD clients in this format, for example) and need an approach that works with your brain rather than against it

  • You value privacy, quality, and personalisation above all else

  • You are already based in Asia or Australia, or are open to combining the retreat with travel

This is probably not the right fit if:

  • You are currently in acute crisis or require daily clinical support

  • You are looking for group programmes or a more social retreat experience

  • You want to be based in a holistic healing centre with everything on site: while I can source you incredible places to go, to take part in yoga, massage, cookery classes or hikes, this is not the central focus of my retreat experience

  • You are hoping for a surface-level reset rather than meaningful, lasting change

If you are uncertain, the free consultation call is the right place to explore this together; there is no pressure, and I will always tell you honestly if I think something else might serve you better.

Why Bespoke 1:1 Retreats Work So Powerfully

When your brain and body are freed from survival mode, healing moves at an extraordinary pace.
And it sticks.

In this intensive environment, we're not just 'talking about' change — we're rewiring it into your system in real time.

You’ll stay deeply connected to your insights, without losing momentum between sessions or having to navigate the stresses and strains of the day-to-day.

You’ll have the spaciousness to download everything you’ve been holding without censorship or rush.

You’ll experience powerful shifts on an emotional, neurological, and cellular level.

After a Private Retreat, You’ll Likely Feel:

✅ Deep emotional clarity and release
✅ More compassion and trust towards yourself
✅ A calmer, steadier nervous system
✅ Freedom from guilt, shame, and heavy internal narratives
✅ Greater energy, focus, and access to your full potential

This isn’t about “fixing” you — because you were never broken.

It’s about giving your incredible mind and body the support they’ve been craving.

Frequently Asked Questions About Private Therapy Retreats

  • Most retreats run between three and five days, with some clients choosing a full week for deeper or more complex work. We discuss the right duration during your initial consultation, based on your goals, what you are carrying, and what will be most sustainable for your system.

  • Weekly therapy is genuinely valuable — but it has structural limitations. An hour per week means that by the time you have settled in, you are almost out of time. A retreat removes that constraint entirely. We can follow the thread of what is emerging without interruption, and your nervous system does not have to go back into survival mode between sessions. The result is that many people experience more genuine movement in a few retreat days than in months of weekly work.

  • Retreat fees start at £5,500 GBP for the therapeutic element. This covers the intensive therapy sessions, pre-retreat deep dive work, and full post-retreat integration support. Accommodation, flights, and living costs are separate, rest assured, in SE Asia, the quality-to-cost ratio is genuinely excellent. Many clients find the total investment compares very favourably with what a similar-quality experience would cost in Australia, the UK or Europe.

  • Not at all. Many clients arrive with little or no prior experience of either modality (and sometimes having had no therapy experience whatsoever). The pre-retreat preparation work means you will arrive feeling orientated and ready, regardless of your background. I will guide you through everything.

  • Yes! Many clients do exactly this. Some choose to arrive a few days early to acclimatise, or extend their stay afterwards to integrate and rest in a beautiful environment - this can a be super powerful add-on. I am very widely travelled in Asia and am happy to advise on combining the retreat with wider travel in the region.

  • These retreats require a minimum of three months of advance planning, and often longer.

The bespoke nature of each experience (e.g. the location research, pre-work, scheduling) means that last-minute bookings are not possible. If you are considering a retreat, the earlier you reach out, the better.
